Unhappy '97 414 Sunroof Problem.

One good thing is that it still works , which is nice.

The problem is that it won't stop when you try and close it.

Example:

Sunroof open in the slide mode, push the button to close and it will continue to open in tilt mode. It won't stop unless you pull your finger off the button in time!

Is there a microswitch I can replace/clean that registers the sunroof closed?

Many thanks!

I'm not sure but I think there may be a microswitch in the motor. Paul

Is the motor easy to get at? Or should I just put up with it?

TIA!

The motor is easily accessable if take the headlining off. You can see it if you pull the sunroof trim off on the headlining and then pull the headlining down a bit.
