Air in my power steering? oooops
I've had a leak in the power steering just below the reservoir for some time but not got round to fixing it, recently the level in the res dropped to below min and since the pump has started making some odd noises as if it has taken in some air into the system, this happens particularly when cold and the pump seems to knock and make sloshing noises, is it easy to bleed or have I knackered it?

fill the system up again, start the car and put it on full lock to one side, hold it there, and then full lock to the other. Thats how you bleed the system. Should state in the haynes.
Somone about 3 weeks ago (i think) gave a full method of how to bleed it, just search power steering or something like that. Ben. |
