    MGF and MGTF
You can find the specific sealing strip on FLEABAY just search for MGF MGTF hood sealing seal. Or do what i did, I bought 10m of Marine grade Neoprene seal in 12mmx9mm for same price so have enough to redo several times over.

Hi Hogweed, Sad to hear about your accident, but as others have said, no one hurt. Have you ruled out a suspension failure? Might be worth checking the lower shock bolts once you get it up on a ramp.

I would add that tbe gauge in our cars is probably not a precision instrument. Oil temps of 80 to 100c would be normal.

The oil temp should be higher when up to temp. Mine sits at just under 120 once up to temp.

Hi Martin, Tbat sounds like a good result. I'm guessing that you still have the 82C thermostat fitted, in which case it may take a fraction longer to get up to temp over the 88C stat but 10 mins sounds right to me. I've been running an 82C stat o. My TF for 2 years now, but i relocated mine to...

  8. Hard top condensation

    MGF and MGTF
Clear sign of moisture inside the vehicle. Have a good check around the inside, especially under the carpets on the passenger side. The airbox is prone to leak and lets water into the passenger footwell. Pull the carpet back and feel underneath.
  9. What to do with a TF 115?

    MGF and MGTF
Why would you break it if you've just bought it? If it's a good runner and needs a small amount of work to get it through an MOT then it may be worth doing, then either drive and enjoy it, or sell on to someone who would appreciate it. Either way, these cars are worth preserving if economically...

Hi Martin, I tend to concur with Austin on the heater matrix not being the issue. I’m more suspicious of the front radiator. Here’s my logic. With the heater off, you have less water circulating in the circuit and the radiator and fan are able to dissipate the heat. However if the front...

Hi Martin, my apologies, I believe you need the GTS104 thermostat. This is 82C and should fit the housing without any mods. Rimmer Brothers have them for under £5. Regards

That doesn’t sound right. I don’t recall it being an issue. I’ll see if I can find the original receipt that may give some details about the exact part.
