  1. MG Monthly UK Registrations

I don't know. Even though each dealer is multi-franchised, SsangYong have a substantial network including several MG dealers and a reasonably coherent range of at least four(?) models...that's a lot of rent, rates, heating, wages and marketing in each dealership...

Gary Hagen is still around, though on the net rather than telling a reporter from the cockpit of a "delightful new journey" TF that MG could soon be producing four or five different models. I was thinking in terms of saloons, hatchbacks and estates as well as sportscars. "Soon" has arrived later...

How very interesting. AFAIK the petrol ZSs from China are built in Zhengzhou so "secret plant code Z" ;) would work well for that. I have seen stories of Brits finding documents in Thai in their pre "MY19 big grille facelift" 3s but no evidence as such that the cars actually came from Thailand...

nope, don't think so. Our MGs all come from China, I think. AFAIK Thailand is not even producing for Australia or NZ, or Malaysia which was once tipped as the first Thai export country (Weststar has an LDV Maxus assembly plant there). I believe all our petrol ZSs come from Zhezhou (sp?) and all...

  7. Got a 10 year old Swift, talk to me about the MG3

    MG 3
Your OP said you were thinking of replacing an old Swift with a new car, potentially an MG3, and what did we think. I have had my 3 for four years now and though it replaced a ZS180(!), I have have rarely missed the performance and would think the 3 is actually quite sporty if I had just stepped...

Thank you. Is there a time limit to editing a post? Every month some of us guess MG Motor UK's registrations and this has meant updating a post to show all the guesses together over the course of about ten days. It just seemed now that I could not edit my post from four days ago. If there is...

It is very important to be able to see the exact date of a post if it is 12 months old or newer. How do I do that? I see the comment that smileys may no longer be working. Test: :dell: :greeny: :petevick: :tjthedj: - and especially :dee: RIP Test suggests these have indeed now ceased to work...

This month is too early for even dealer demo HS and ZS EV customers are tapping their feet like Sonic the Hedgehog (though it seems a boatful has come in to Portbury) - it seems only two customers have actually driven away in them so far. So after the new reg hype is the realisation that some...

I am told ZS EV does have full type approval. Waiting to see if I can quite a source. EDIT apparently the chassis plate carries the type approval code.
  18. MG ZS EV review by Bjørn Nyland

    ZS SUV (2017)
It was in Genk where the Ford factory used to be! The Norwegians said the EV presentation took place in "Broom" (original Norwegian version)... Oh! although Genk is actually quite near Maastricht (Netherlands), Genk is in Flanders (Antwerp province)

August registrations were low by recent standards. All GS have now been registered so September is ZS and 3 only (and facelift 3 was brand new last year) plus any EVs. I don't think the first customer has driven away in his/her ZS EV yet but dealers are taking delivery of demonstrators on a 69...
