I have a 2000 45 td that I only use off road. It recently wouldn't turn over which proved to be a seized alternator - sorted that out and got it started after a lot of effort. I ran it for about five minutes before I realised that there was no oil in the sump because the drain plug was missing, it then stopped a bit sudden. I left it for a while then put some oil in. It turned over but wouldn't start, now it won't turn over. Is there any hope for it?

How long was it running before it stopped?

Try turning it over on the crankshaft bolt.

I put some more oil in and it just about turned over - even with a freshly charged battery. Couldn't budge it on the crankshaft pulley, even with a breaker bar. Looks like it's had it. Spares anyone?
