Two more evenings for guesses. TBH three out of four of us say MG have to about double last year's pre-Covid sales. I think I have seen more than 23 newly-registered cars handed over but G0MRL is treating that as fake news!

Wasn't going to bother as I am suffering from too much decoratitus but here goes anyway. 999 for this month. I can't see sales in general being that good especially as it is not too long until the new registration comes along. Car usage is definitely less than pre covid and there are many tempting offers at the moment but I wonder how many will take up the offers?
All the best...Chris.

As we head to "Mitsubishi Zero", the manufacturer is beginning its crash dive to join Chrysler and Chevrolet, but Dacia is now pulling away from MG, to say nothing of Honda whose July sales were double MG's. Fiat and Suzuki seem the only sensible targets for the rest of 2020.

MG will surely hit 10,000 YTD next month but in January must have been planning for double that.

BEVs are starting to sell. (I notice that one quarter of the year's petrol sales were in the seventh month!)

Incidentally, although MG now have Fiat, Suzuki and Dacia in their sights (having passed Mitsubishi even before the announcement of Mitsubishi Zero new cars), that is only because MG is up 30% as the only separately-listed manufacturer to increase sales and the sales of those marques are down by half or more.
Tesla is surely the only other winner but it is not listed separately "Other Manufacturers" are four times last year.

Yes, but Mitsubishi is leaving Europe, so I am not surprised their sales dropped.
MG first overtook Mitsubishi a while ago before the news broke. I think we may presume it to be permanent now.... as with Chrysler and Chevrolet...
by "sales drop" I was referring to Fiat, Suzuki and Dacia.
