Hello,
I've read and read issues with Rover diesel ECU reading issues.
Presently have engine management light on, which came on when earth lead came loose on battery. All fixed now, and car driving perfectly.
Just bought iCarsoft LR V1.0 I930 Diagnostic Tool for £105
which I was advised by distributor it would work....ohhh noooo!!!...
Seemingly the only ECU readers that will work are
T4 Testbook (rover dealer kit)
Snap on Solus system
Sykes Pickavant acr2 with v3 pod
ACR4 with V4 pod.
Does anyone have these either locally(Northants/Bucks/Leics.Warw), or will travel/pay postage to use them?
Thanks

Just to let everyone know, I eventually sorted the ECU management light to go off using..Snapon Solus(using key 25)..seemingly any one of their range with communicate with Rovers. Hope this helps others, as I was determined not to give in and take it to a garage as car works perfectly.

Yes it's true. The old Snapon tools are quite good with MG Rovers. A lot of the new even professionsal tools (like the Autel ones) don't cover MG Rovers.
