This Kestrel was somewhat bedraggled and was not interested in flying today. After 15 minutes of bribery, inc a mouse, he eventually decided to sit where I could get a decent couple of pictures. :broon:

Some great photos. Makes me wish I had a DSLR .

My old film SLR (Minolta Dynax 6000i) sits gathering dust after the mirror came adrift about 10 years ago. Probably not worth getting fixed.

Might see about a Sony DSLR as at least my lenses will fit.

That's one of the main reasons why I went down the sony route, so I could reuse some of my Minolta lenses.

The sony a58 is a good camera and prices are falling still. It's currently on for £270 at currys - heck of a lot of camera for that money.

Yeovilton air day Mike. After paying an arm and a leg to get in, after an hour we left to spend the rest of the afternoon in the car park where we were able to get better shots of the displays.
