Hello,
So I know this was mentioned before but I cannot find the article. I want to switch my stock suspension for springs and shock absorber. My reasoning being that I am taking mine back to the USA, Im only here for another year or so. If I take it back getting my suspension pumped up, or replacing any parts will be rediculous to get.
So switching it to spring in shocks. I know gti's have them upfront and you can weld in the modifio to take it in the rear wheel well. But for springs, I see a mini conversion kit that also comes with shocks for a decent price could I use that? I tried contacting Watson's who ive heard made them but no response.
Is there any way I can achieve this reasonably?

I just read something in the on a suspension website saying it might be possible to drill where the bolt goes through and install a bushing that is the proper size? I work at a machine/welding shop. Would this be a bad idea?
