Can anyone help with advice on removing a Vp30 pump from its engine block mount? I have a problem with the size torx bolts socket / spanner. Are these a special tool as the heads seem to taper. The torx spanner appears to be the right size but slips. I do not wish to damage the bolt heads.

It is some time since I removed a VP30 from an L series & i have no recollection of the tools used, but no special tools were required. The hands of a 4 year old would have been advantageous for putting the replacement on though.

Thank you RQT. I discovered there are two e10 torx bolts . Easy to get out if one has 3/8 drive kit 250mm extension with ratchet. The underside after assuming these were the same as the top torx turns out to be 13mm set spanner size using the ring end.
