Hi thanks for registering! This post contains a bit of an introduction to the forums & the site, so please take a few seconds to read through this so you can get the most out of the site.

mg-rover.org is split into 4 areas:

  • the forums which you are on now
  • the main site which contains up-to-date news, reviews, PC wallpapers and much more
  • the online shop, if you need anything for your car, from service items to performance parts, its all here.
  • Gallery, as a member of the forums, you can upload pictures of your car to our image gallery - for free! Simply log into the forums and click on the "Image Gallery" link at the top of the page - this will take you to the gallery, where you should already be logged in (it uses the same login method as the forums), simply navigate to the section you want to upload your pics into & click the "upload images" link on the right. A full tutorial on doing this will be added soon, but in the meantime if you have any questions, please post in the Website Feedback forum.
These can be accessed by the links at the top of every page in every site.

The forums are grouped by subject, so if you have a technical question, scroll down to the "Help and Advice" section & post a question in Ask the gurus. If you've heard some hot gossip about MG Rover, then the General MG and Rover chat, located in 'General Motoring Chat' at the top of the forum list is for you. Another popular forum is the General Chat section, where nearly anything goes! All the forums are moderated, but the General Chat tends to be moderated in a more relaxed style! But it is members only, so you'll have to register to join in the fun!

Our social side is also very busy! In the Social Stuff forum, we have local area forums (UK and Worldwide) so you can get in touch with any other members from your locality. Also in this section is the Events forum. Any events that we are planning are listed here. Our events coordinator is Dell. If you would like know about the events we run from time to time, simply either drop him a PM or post a thread in the Event Chat forum.

Don't have an MG or Rover, but fancy a chat? - fine, no problem, register away! We have an "Other Manufacturer" section down in the "General Motoring chat" category at the top of the forum list and we have a healthy group of non MG or Rover owners!

Please familiarise yourself with the forum rules by reading them here.

Thanks again for joining & hope you enjoy being part of mg-rover.org. We pride ourselves on having one of the most friendly forums around, you won't find any cliques of members here who don't like new people joining in - with us its the opposite, we always like to see a new face, so please, don't leave it too long before you attend your first Waterman meet! (See the Events forums for more information). :)
